I Have had problems with my ipod, it won't turn on, and when it try's to turn on it just blinks. It has not gotten wet, or dropped. It has all my photos and music on it

There's a good chance your LCD is broken (Liquid crystal display, the piece that shows images on your iPod). I would take it to an apple authorized service provider nearest you if you're still in need of data recovery.

Depending on the model make and year apple may not offer service or replacements, but if data (pictures, music) is your focus visit an apple authorized service provider that has "data recovery" listed on their website.
